Are you a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Clinical Registrar looking for a flexible and supportive workplace? Gymea Lily Psychotherapy Centre is seeking passionate professionals to join our growing team on a part-time basis.

 

About Us:

Located in Kirrawee, just a short walk from the train station, we are a team of 13 Psychologists who work collaboratively in a supportive and welcoming environment. Our practice places an emphasis on psychodynamic psychotherapy and longer-term work with clients. We are equipped with both wet and dry play therapy rooms, providing resources for therapeutic work with children and adolescents.

 

What We Offer:

  • Flexible hours: Work as little as 4 hours per week or up to 3 days, including evenings or Saturdays. For those wanting more hours, we have availability up to 6 full days per week.
  • A focus on child and adolescent private practice clients.
  • Free supervision groups for professional development and CPD.
  • Opportunities to work within a psychodynamic and play therapy framework.
  • Registered supervising Clinical Psychologists on-site to provide guidance and supervision.
  • A welcoming environment for new graduates, those returning to work, or professionals eager to develop their skills in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registration and eligibility for a Medicare provider number (HIC registered).
  • Current WWCC and professional indemnity insurance.

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • At least 5 years of post-registration experience.
  • Clinical Psychology degree or APS Clinical College membership.
  • Proficiency in working with children and adolescents.
  • OR
  • Experience or interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy and unconscious processes.
  • Familiarity with multiple frameworks, including systemic work and analytical approaches.
  • Skills in child psychoanalytic psychotherapy or play therapy.

 

We’re looking for practitioners who are interested in psychodynamic approaches and longer-term therapeutic work with clients.
