Vibrant Clinical Psychologist / Registrar - Contractor (1 day/week)

Actualise Psychology is an established psychology practice in Sydney's CBD, operating since 2016.

We are seeking a vibrant, self-motivated, autonomous, Contracting Clinical Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist Registrar, to join us to service a growing number of new referrals!

Commencing from February 2026 - initially 1 day/week, with the capacity to continue to build additional days, you will undertake assessments and implement psychological therapy, as well as liaise with treating health professionals in person, by phone, email, and reports. Whilst referrals will be provided, a proactive approach to networking with referrers (with support from the Practice Director) to build your caseload, will be required.

In addition to GP/Psychiatry referrals, the practice provides clinical and consulting services to a large military and emergency services population. As such, a keen interest/knowledge in military psychology / emergency services populations is preferred.

We offer a high energy, supportive environment; competitive rates; reception support; adult referrals reflecting a wide range of presenting issues (including: PTSD/Complex trauma, anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol problems, relationship, and grief issues); free peer supervision (approximately monthly); access to resources/materials; and opportunities for individual supervision.

Essential criteria:

1) Unconditional/full registration with AHPRA        

2) Clinical Psychologist Endorsement and Medicare provider of clinical psychology items or working towards same

3) ABN + professional indemnity and public liability insurance

4) Clinical experience, ideally in a private practice setting, with a wide range of presentations/issues

5) Competence in evidence-based therapies including CBT, and experience with other therapies such as EMDR, ACT, DBT, or schema therapy

6) A professional, warm, flexible, open, enthusiastic, and supportive attitude

7) Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, with eagerness and reliability

8) Interest and capability in fostering collaborative relationships with referrers        

9) Excellent communication skills, both oral and written   

10) Outstanding organisational and time management skills   

11) Commitment to continual growth and development as a psychologist
