Advanced Clinical Lead Psychologist - Perinatal Mental Health

  • Salary: $118,887 - $129,427 p.a. (pro rata) plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits – AHP4
  • Ongoing Part-Time – working 15 hours per week 

About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a passionate and dedicated Psychologist to join our Perinatal Mental Health team as an Advanced Clinical Lead Psychologist. The position is based at Lyell McEwin Hospital with the possibility for outpatient clinics at Modbury Hospital and local Children’s Centres.

The successful applicant is expected to be a highly skilled clinician and will be responsible for providing assessments, complex psychological treatment, and consultation within the NALHN Mental Health Services. They will also be responsible for leading quality improvement activities and research, and providing supervision as required. The role involves making a significant contribution toward the development and achievement of the team’s strategic directions, and the applicant is expected to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and maintain relationships with other government agencies and non-government organisations.   

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree (Master’s Degree in Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA. You must also hold general registration with PsyBA, be endorsed in an Area of Practice Endorsement consistent with the requirements of the role and hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision (primary and secondary).

Please note that for clinicians who are new to working in the Mental Health Service (but are not new graduates), training sessions are planned in May and September 2026 to support the transition. Topics that are planned relate to diverse areas including multidisciplinary practice, legislation, clinical documentation and trauma-informed practice.
