Manager, Specialist and Support Coordination

About the Business

Our Disability and Specialised Services Division provides valuable support to the South Australian community through direct service delivery, inclusion policy and sector reform work. As a registered NDIS provider, they provide SIL services that supervise and help with everyday tasks to support people living with disability to live as independently as possible. The Division also encompasses quality and clinical services and the DHS Equipment Program.

Role Details

This is a dual classified role available at either AHP4 or ASO7 level.

Applicants who meet the requirements for either classification are encouraged to apply. Appointment and remuneration will be determined based on the successful applicant's qualifications, professional background and experience.

The Manager, Specialist and Support Coordination is a role within Disability and Specialised Services and is accountable to the Assistant Director, Clinical Services for:

  • initiating and leading the development and implementation of high-quality, person-centred services and systems for existing and new DHS Disability Services clients, including those funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) funded clients

  • providing strategic and operational leadership by managing and monitoring business systems, strategies, resources and programs that support the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services to meet organisational standards and targets

  • leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical expertise and guidance to Specialist and Support Coordinators in support coordination, capacity building, case management and navigating NDIS and DSOA

  • building and maintain strong internal and external relationships, fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders to enhance client experiences and outcomes for people living with disability, their families and carers and community.

Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).

Essential Qualifications

AHP4: Incumbent should hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in Disability & Developmental Education, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Speech Pathology which entitles registration or full membership with the relevant allied health profession's board. Occupational Therapists and Psychologists must have full registration with the relevant profession's board and maintain registration.
