Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre Darwin One full time ongoing vacancy is available The Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre (AWCCC) is located in Darwin and is seeking a psychologist to provide psychological / health assessments, formulation and intervention within a culturally diverse service environment. The Psychologist in he AWCCC will be responsible for delivering high quality, oncology specific psychology services. This will include assessments of wellbeing, supporting multidisciplinary decision-making. About the role As a psychologist, you will provide evidence-informed assessment and intervention for individuals presenting with mental health and medical related conditions. A key component of the role includes supportive counselling and understanding adjustment issues pertaining to a cancer diagnosis. You will work both autonomously within your scope of practice while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment. The role includes peer mentorship and support of staff and students, as well as participation in continuous quality improvement and service development initiatives. The position requires the ability to manage a large caseload within a dynamic service environment while maintaining high clinical standards and cultural responsiveness. What we offer
