Sydney Phobia Clinic are looking for a motivated, skilled, and experienced Clinical Psychologist, who has a keen interest in technology (e.g. Virtual Reality) and would like to work in a dynamic clinic that is revolutionising psychological treatment through the use of innovative technology.

Role overview:
A Clinical Psychologist at Sydney Phobia Clinic plays a key role in delivering manualised therapy to clients presenting with a variety of specific phobias, and using Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy as one of the main tools for treatment.
As well as this, you will design and implement treatment plans for clients presenting with a wide variety of conditions, tailoring treatment to individual needs and
Key responsibilities:

Conducting psychological assessments, developing and implementing client-tailored treatment plans.

Provide individual therapy to clients using Virtual Reality based exposure therapy techniques.

Monitor client progress throughout treatment, and making necessary adjustments where needed to optimise results.

Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in psychological technology and the general mental health field

Maintain accurate client records and relevant treatment documentation
Desirable criteria:

Previous experience in using virtual reality or similar technological interventions in therapy.

Knowledge of evidence based treatment for phobias, particularly CBT and Graded Exposure Therapy.

Ability to engage clients in innovative, technological treatment methods while maintaining compassionate, person centered care.

Prior experience in handling clients covered by insurance (CTP/WC) and SIRA accreditation, or willingness to complete SIRA accreditation if required.

Ability and prior experience working with younger clients (<18) and willingness to take on adolescent and child clients.

A strong commitment to continuous professional development, particularly in virtual reality and gaming related psychological tools.
