About the Role:  
  
Curtin University’s School of Population Health is excited to invite applications for the position of Lecturer (ALB) or Senior Lecturer (ALC) in Psychology (Teaching & Research). This ongoing role is ideal for passionate individuals who are eager to enhance both education and research in psychology.
  
The successful candidate will play a key role in the Master of Psychology (Professional) program, which is integral to the 5+1 pathway for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. In this position, you will coordinate and teach within the program and supervise students in professional practice placements. You will supervise 4th year and HDR students in their research. To support the growth of the Master of Psychology course, you will contribute to accreditation activities and workforce development in the 5+1 pathway for registration as a psychologist, and help explore opportunities for program expansion, while contributing to the School’s research and teaching objectives. Appointees at level C will be expected to contribute to team leadership within the Master of Psychology course.

You will join a well-established and collaborative team with a shared commitment to excellence in teaching, supervision and student outcomes. Your expertise will help shape the future of psychology education and research in our vibrant academic community. 
  
Who we are looking for (Selection Criteria):
  1. A doctoral qualification in Psychology.
  2. Current registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist with relevant professional experience. Certification from the Psychology Board of Australia as an approved supervisor is desirable.
  3. A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and learning, including experience supervising higher degree research students, ideally within professional or practice-oriented training programs, commensurate with appointment level.
  4. A track record of peer-reviewed research publications, success in securing research income, and evidence of impact commensurate with appointment level.
  5. Demonstrated or emerging academic leadership within the discipline/profession, particularly in postgraduate or professional training programs, commensurate with appointment level.
  6. Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cultural responsiveness.
  7. Experience with professional accreditation processes (e.g., APAC) or regulatory frameworks relevant to psychology training is desirable.
Role Requirements:
  1. As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
  2. Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction 
  3. This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check
  4. Current registration with the AHPRA as a Psychologist and eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society; certification from the Psychology Board of Australia as an approved supervisor is desirable.

What We Offer You: 
  
This is a full time, permanent (continuing) role, with a salary range between $118,308 (ALB step 1) - $166,354 (ALC step 6), plus 17% superannuation and generous leave entitlements.
  
*Please note that each candidate will be assessed based on their skills, qualifications, and experience to determine the salary level.
