The Opportunity
GEO is offering an exceptional opportunity for skilled and passionate Clinicians to join our Rehabilitation and Reintegration Services team at Ravenhall Correctional Centre, with Full Time or Part Time work, at GEO’s Community Reintegration Centre in Melbourne.
As a Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting prisoners to make positive, lasting change by delivering evidence-informed assessments, interventions and reintegration support. Working in multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to GEO’s model of integrated practice supporting individuals both in custody and as they transition into the community.

Your Key Impact Areas
Clinicians at GEO are integral to our mission of reducing reoffending. In this role, you will:
- Conduct clinical interviews, risk assessments, psychometric testing and behavioural assessments to inform treatment planning.
- Develop forensic case formulations, comprehensive treatment plans and high-quality outcome reports.
- Provide individual cognitive-behavioural interventions addressing treatment readiness, violence, family violence, substance use, antisocial attitudes, problem solving, trauma and wellbeing.
- Facilitate group programs targeting criminogenic needs, wellness, healthy relationships and reintegration.
- Offer family-inclusive interventions and provide post-release support where ongoing care is essential to reducing recidivism.
- Contribute to case-management planning, case reviews, behaviour support plans and community reintegration plans.
- Collaborate with custodial teams, Forensicare, Correct Care and GEO’s Alliance Partners to deliver integrated, impactful services.
- Participate in cultural, community and reintegration activities that support prisoner engagement and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to continuous improvement through professional supervision and development.

About You
- Clinicians will be psychologists with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA); social workers with registration with the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW); occupational therapists registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, or Mental Health Nurses credentialed with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Criminal Justice System including the role of the Courts, prisons, parole and community corrections.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the “What works” literature in offender rehabilitation, in addition to the application of the Good Lives Model (GLM) and principles of Risk Need Responsivity (RNR) in reducing recidivism in offender populations.
- Demonstrated experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other best-practice therapeutic frameworks for working with offenders.
- Experience in clinical and/or risk assessments, individual and group intervention, in a correctional, clinical or other relevant setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others both cross-agency and as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently prepare clinical formulations and reports.
