About the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH):
The Allied Health Psychology department at RMH is a dynamic team comprised of neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists and health psychologists, who support patients and teams in a range of services across the hospital. There is a strong culture of clinical research within the department.
About the role:
- Provide backfill for permanent staff on leave or for short-term contracts.
- Provide evidence-based clinical psychology assessments and therapy interventions to a wide variety of patients.
- Assist with management of mental health, wellbeing and behavioural issues for people with chronic and acute medical conditions.
- Work in partnership with patients, families and/or carers, as well as internal and external stakeholders to provide high quality patient-centred care.
About you:
- You have experience working in public health, and specifically medical settings.
- You demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- You are flexible, enjoy fast-paced work, and can integrate quickly into various clinical situations.
- You have an APAC approved post-graduate to Masters or Doctoral qualification in Clinical or Health Psychology.
- You hold full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and an endorsement in Clinical or Health Psychology. Please note: although we accept applications from Psychology Registrars, this would not be an appropriate role to complete your primary registrar hours/supervision.
