About the Role 

In this senior position, you will play a key role in delivering high-level mental health services across the lifespan, with a strong focus on child and youth mental health. 

 

You will provide: 

  • Comprehensive mental health assessments 
  • Case management and short-term therapeutic interventions 
  • Intake, crisis assessment, and intervention services 
  • Consultation and liaison with families, carers, and stakeholders 

 

You will also contribute to clinical leadership, team development, and service improvement, helping shape high-quality care delivery across the service.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team 
  • Deliver high-level assessments, therapy, and case management 
  • Undertake intake and mental health crisis intervention as required 
  • Support and mentor staff through supervision, education, and training 
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and education programs 
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with standards 
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and external services

You are an experienced and motivated clinician with a passion for delivering high quality mental health care and supporting others to do the same. 

 

You will bring: 

  • Strong skills in mental health assessment, formulation, and evidence-based intervention 
  • The ability to provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to others 
  • A commitment to recovery oriented, consumer centred practice 
  • Well developed communication and clinical reasoning skills

What You’ll Need 

  • A four-year degree in Psychology (or equivalent qualification) 
  • Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) 

 

Desirable: 

  • Eligibility for or willingness to obtain Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) status under the Mental Health Act 2016
