The Role
In this senior leadership role, you will drive the Practice Leadership Team and Practice Enhancement Framework, strengthening capability and consistency across the division. You’ll oversee and mentor Practice Leadership Team, support frontline staff, and champion continuous improvement of our staffing model and practice systems.
You will build workforce resilience and wellbeing, expand access to supervision and professional development, and lift capability in offender management and risk assessment. As the branch’s expert advisor, you’ll provide high-level guidance on domestic and family violence, sexual offending, complex and high-risk cases, and sentencing matters.
The role also delivers specialist assessments and reports for high-risk offenders, and forges strategic partnerships with universities, training providers and interstate jurisdictions to grow a skilled, contemporary and confident workforce.
Role Requirements
We are seeking a highly qualified psychologist with AHPRA registration, APS eligibility, and accreditation as an AHPRA-approved supervisor. The ideal candidate will bring significant forensic expertise, particularly in domestic and family violence, supported by strong knowledge of contemporary justice theories and evidence-based practice.
Success in this role requires deep cross-cultural capability, including the ability to work effectively with diverse communities and apply cultural and contextual understanding to complex clinical and operational environments.
You will be a proven leader with exceptional skills in negotiation, change management, and building trust. Your leadership style demonstrates fairness, clarity, and sound judgement.
