Psychologist/Clinical Registrar | Full/Part Time | Supportive Private Practice

If you're a psychologist who values meaningful work, genuine support, and a team that feels like home, Safe House Psychology may be exactly what you've been looking for.

We've created a practice where clinicians can thrive professionally, personally, and emotionally. Our philosophy is simple - excellent therapeutic work happens when psychologists feel grounded, supported, and connected. We grow intentionally, not rapidly, and we invest deeply in the people who join us.

We're not just another practice looking to fill rooms. We're a close-knit team led by Psychologists who are passionate about developing clinicians through structured mentoring, balance, and belonging.

Here's what makes the transition into private practice smoother and more enjoyable at Safe House Psychology.

What We Offer

  • 100-Day Mentoring Program - A structured, supportive onboarding program designed to help you succeed. Includes weekly mentoring, peer supervision, and targeted training. Your caseload builds gradually, with full capacity starting in week five.

  • Sustainable Workload - We cap caseloads at five clients per day, with dedicated time built into your schedule for clinical work such as report writing, treatment planning, and professional development.

  • Full Admin Support - Our friendly, full-time administrative team manages all reception, bookings, billing, and client enquiries. They also handle all client consent forms and pre-screening, so you'll always know who's walking into your session and can focus fully on providing care.

  • Niche Development - Explore and grow in the areas that excite you. Whether it's child and family work, trauma, assessments, or another specialty, we'll help you carve your path with the right training and supervision.

  • Professional Growth - Annual PD allowance, regular peer learning, and access to experienced clinicians who genuinely care about your progress.

  • Supportive Team Culture - You'll never have lunch alone here. We share a common lunch break every day, a small but powerful way we stay connected. Expect laughter, collaboration, and a team that looks out for one another. As our team grows, you can expect to engage in regular team days, activities, and retreat getaways to recharge, connect, and celebrate the work we do together.

  • Your Own Consult Room - Each psychologist has a private, thoughtfully furnished space with the freedom to decorate and personalise it so it feels like your own. You'll also have access to a comfortable breakout area and staff kitchen for downtime and connection.

  • Purpose-Built Clinic - A calm, welcoming environment designed for comfort and focus, with shared resources, therapy materials, and staff-only zones to recharge.

  • Convenient Location - Situated in Ed Square Town Centre, Edmondson Park, surrounded by cafes, shops, and restaurants, with secure staff parking and the train station right next door.

  • Competitive Salary & Reward Structure - AUD $105,000 – $135,000 + superannuation + PD allowance + fortnightly rewards that celebrate your effort, growth, and impact instantly. We also conduct annual remuneration reviews to ensure your contribution and development are recognised over time.

Our Clinic and Location

We've built a clinic that truly supports excellent work — calm, professional, and designed with both clients and clinicians in mind.

Each psychologist has their own consult room, thoughtfully furnished to feel soothing and grounded, with the freedom to make it your own. You'll also have access to shared staff areas for connection and collaboration, including a well-equipped kitchen, breakout spaces, and our growing resource library to make session planning easier.

Located in the heart of Ed Square Town Centre, Edmondson Park, our clinic sits among cafes, restaurants, and green spaces — everything you need just steps away. With the train station next door and secure staff parking available, getting here is simple and convenient no matter how you travel.

The combination of a purpose-built clinic and the lifestyle benefits of Ed Square makes Safe House Psychology a genuinely special place to work, connect, and grow.

Who You Are

You're a psychologist who's ready to build a sustainable, meaningful career, not just a full calendar.
You value learning, balance, and connection. You care deeply about your clients and want to work somewhere that invests in you just as much.

This role is best suited to someone who is available at least 3 days per week, so you have the time and consistency to build strong client relationships, settle into the team, and feel genuinely connected to the clinic.

You might be:

  • A general or clinical registered psychologist with AHPRA, looking for a workplace that offers stability, structure, and a strong professional identity.

  • A clinical registrar seeking a supportive private practice environment where supervision, mentoring, CPD and continuous learning are built in to support your registrar requirements and help you grow in your areas of interest.

  • A newly registered psychologist seeking a team that provides genuine guidance, mentoring, and a sense of belonging as you deepen your clinical skills.

  • An experienced clinician ready to refine your niche, expand your therapeutic approach, or focus on a special interest area within a workplace that values autonomy, creativity, and clinical excellence.
