An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Clinical Neuropsychologist to join the Mental Health Resource Team in beautiful Townsville, North Queensland.

This advanced role offers the opportunity to provide clinical leadership, influence service development, supervise the next generation of clinicians and shape the delivery of neuropsychological services across a large and diverse Mental Health Service Group.

This is more than a clinical role. It is an opportunity to be a recognised clinician, educator, supervisor and leader within a progressive tertiary mental health service, contributing to excellence in patient care, education and research.

 

About the Role

Working as part of a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Deliver advanced clinical neuropsychological services across a range of mental health settings
  • Provide expert consultation and advice to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Lead and contribute to service development initiatives and innovative models of care
  • Provide advanced clinical supervision and professional support to students, provisional psychologists, psychology registrars and neuropsychology registrars
  • Offer service-wide leadership and expert guidance in areas of Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Support capability development and mentor less experienced clinicians
  • Contribute to research, education and quality improvement activities

What You’ll Need

 

  • An Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited postgraduate qualification
  • General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Psychology Board of Australia Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor status, or eligibility to apply for approved supervisor status
