Senior Clinical Psychologist

  • Salary $112,139.00 - $120,284.00 p.a. (Pro Rata) AHP3 | Part Time – Contract Until February 2027
  • Area of Practice Endorsement Allowance: $11,174.60

Rehabilitation and transitional care demand psychologists who bring both clinical depth and genuine adaptability. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist or Health Psychologist within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN), you will deliver specialist psychological services across two significant sites — Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) and the Repatriation Health Precinct (RHP) — supporting patients navigating some of the most complex chapters of their health journey.

About the role: 

  • Providing a specialist Clinical/Health Psychology service including assessment, treatment/ management planning, intervention, evaluation, and consultation to patients individually and in group settings
  • Communicating with clients’ family, carers, and other service providers
  • Effective and timely development of psychology services commensurate with the goals of the Rehabilitation and Aged Care Services
  • Collaborating with team members to initiate, develop, implement, and evaluate therapy/activity groups
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework, Consumer Engagement Framework, and Plan.

About you:

  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) with an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology
  • Hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision, or: Eligible to complete PsyBA accredited supervision training and willing to undertake this training at the direction of the organisation to support services’ supervision requirements
  • High level of ability to design, implement, and evaluate psychological procedures and interventions, including psychological assessments, and consultancy services, in relation to complex clients
  • Ability to critically analyse or evaluate issues related to clinical care in your discipline in a manner that can be applied to quality activities, service evaluation, or research.
  • Experience providing cognitive behavioural treatments
