Psychologist – Therapy & Assessment | Children, Adolescents & Adults

Child, Adolescent, Family and Neurodiversity Services

Cathartic Consulting | Essendon, Melbourne
Full-time, Part-time or Contractor Opportunities Available

Are you passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults and families? Do you want to develop expertise in therapy, assessment, neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice while working within a highly supportive and collaborative team?

Cathartic Consulting is a boutique psychology practice located in Essendon, Victoria. Our team provides high-quality clinical, educational, organisational and forensic psychology services to children, adolescents, adults, families, schools, government agencies and organisations.

We are seeking a Psychologist who enjoys working with children and adolescents and is interested in maintaining a varied caseload across assessment and intervention to join our growing team.

About Cathartic Consulting

At Cathartic Consulting, we believe psychologists do their best work when they are supported to develop broad clinical skills, pursue their professional interests and maintain a sustainable workload.

Our clinicians work across assessment and intervention and have opportunities to support children, adolescents, adults and families. While child and adolescent work forms an important part of this role, we work collaboratively with each psychologist to develop a caseload that reflects their interests, strengths and career goals.

We have a strong focus on neurodiversity assessment and trauma-informed practice, including EMDR, and support clinicians to develop expertise through supervision, consultation and professional development. Our clinicians regularly support clients presenting with trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional regulation challenges and complex mental health concerns. We welcome applications from psychologists who are trained in EMDR or interested in developing expertise in this area.

In addition to individual therapy and assessment services, our team facilitates parent coaching programs, delivers psychoeducational workshops and provides training and consultation to schools, organisations and community groups. Clinicians interested in group facilitation, public speaking, workshop development or educational training are encouraged to explore these opportunities.
