Clinical Psychologists/Psychologists - Private Practice - Mermaid Beach Gold Coast

PRA Psychology is an established private psychology practice with 15 Psychologists, located 300 metres from the stunning sands of Mermaid Beach.

ABOUT PRA PSYCHOLOGY

PRA offers a supportive, collaborative environment where clinicians have the autonomy to practice their way, backed by comprehensive administrative support and a warm, professional team.

PRA was first established in 1995 and expanded in 2007 into its own purpose-built and fully-owned clinic in Mermaid Beach on the beautiful Gold Coast within close proximity to cafes, shops, restaurants and public transport. PRA offers clinical and counselling psychological services to individuals and couples with a broad range of presenting problems. Our Psychologists use a variety of approaches with clients of all ages across the lifespan. Our team are passionate about making a difference to people's lives and we pride ourselves on offering personalised, client-centred, compassionate and evidence-based services to achieve clinical excellence and optimal outcomes. We offer optional individual and group peer supervision.

POSITION(S) AVAILABLE

We are currently seeking two types of practitioners to join our team as contractors working anywhere from 1 to 4 days per week, with days including Saturday if you prefer. Some days may be worked as half days, if desired and subject to room availability. Hours and days are potentially flexible.

The first type we are seeking are experienced trauma-informed Psychologists. Training and experience in trauma-focused interventions such as EMDR and Schema Therapy is ideal combined with experience with assessing and treating a broad range of conditions including anxiety and mood disorders.

Secondly, we are seeking Psychologists with training and experience in couple counselling and a willingness to provide some hours outside of normal working hours for working couples. A combination of the two types of practitioners would be exceptional.

The clinic client population is primarily adult clients seeking individual and couple therapy but can include children and adolescents if the practitioner has the expertise and interest. Soon-to-graduate Clinical Psychology Masters students are welcome to apply if they have life experience, clinical experience in a similar field, and are highly motivated.

Areas of interest are encouraged. We need new team members to spread the clinical load.
