Psychologist – Independent Contractor

B Psychology | Ringwood East, Melbourne

B Psychology is a growing private psychology practice seeking a generally registered psychologist, with or without an area of practice endorsement, to join our team as an independent contractor.

We are a relationally oriented practice, grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs through developing a deeper understanding of relationships, with ourselves, others, and with the broader systems in which we live.

Our culture is guided by the values of collaboration, balance, excellence, innovation and growth. While relational thinking informs the practice, clinicians are encouraged to develop and work from their own therapeutic orientation. We welcome a range of evidence-based and integrative approaches and value diversity in clinical interests, experience and style.

The Opportunity

  • Build a sustainable private-practice caseload with consistent referrals

  • Receive a competitive contractor split

  • Retain flexibility and autonomy over your hours, clinical interests and therapeutic approach

  • Choose from weekday, after-hours and Saturday availability, subject to room availability

  • Provide services in person from our Ringwood East practice, with flexibility to offer telehealth where clinically appropriate

  • Work with clients within your areas of competence and interest

  • Access full administrative support

  • Benefit from opportunities for consultation, collaboration and professional growth

  • Work within a welcoming and professionally presented practice environment

We also offer meaningful financial support toward the tools and professional development that help clinicians practise well:

  • Supervision Support Contribution – a financial contribution toward your chosen supervision

  • Technology Support Contribution – a financial contribution toward approved clinical and digital tools

These contributions increase in line with your level of practice involvement.

About You

You will have:

  • Current general registration with AHPRA, with or without an area of practice endorsement

  • Strong clinical, communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to ethical, client-centred and evidence-based practice

  • An interest in reflective and reflexive practice and the therapeutic relationship

  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team

  • A commitment to ongoing professional and clinical development

We are looking for psychologists who are thoughtful and curious, open to reflection and reflexion and interested in continuing to develop their clinical identity.

Clinicians may draw from approaches including Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), psychodynamic and relational therapies CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy, , mindfulness-based approaches, and other evidence-based or integrative models.

Location: Ringwood East, Victoria
Engagement: Independent contractor
