We have strong connections with our medical and community referrers, as our psychologists are known as professionals who bring a unique blend of clinical knowledge and personal understanding to their work. Working from home, we work with clients across Australia through Medicare, the NDIS, and privately.

Key Requirements

Successful Applicants will: 

  • be located in Australia.
  • be registered as a psychologist with AHPRA.
  • hold a valid Medicare Provider Number.
  • hold current Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • hold current Working with Children Check.
  • have experience working with, or a genuine desire to provide therapy to, clients with disabilities or clients living with health conditions.
  • demonstrate a desire to engage in a genuinely supportive team-based environment.
  • have a preference for determining their own hours of practice, and a desire to prioritise healthy decisions for self as well as responsible business decisions simultaneously.
  • have experience using Google Suites, Zoom and PowerDiary (advantageous).
  • have a reliable computer and stable internet connection, as well as a secure and confidential space in a home location (essential).

Clinical Experience: 

Applicants should have clinical experience working with clients in the individual counselling setting.  Successful applicants will demonstrate a passion for a client centred, compassionate, and evidence-based approach to therapy.  Applicants will be comfortable providing exceptional counselling to individuals via Zoom and occasionally telephone.

 

Authenticity Matters:

Livology values psychologists who are willing to be authentic about their lived experiences. We believe that an appropriate level of openness can foster stronger connections with clients.  Applicants will have an understanding of the APS code of ethics, and will be able to demonstrate strong boundaries and knowledge regarding an appropriate type of self disclosure, and its benefits, in the therapeutic setting.

 

What Livology Offers:

  • Casual Employment - as many or as few client contact hours as you want, with full control over your calendar so you can schedule your work around your life
  • A rate of $107.64 per hour (plus superannuation), paid team meetings (monthly), paid client cancellations if within 48 hrs and paid report writing (eg. NDIS reports and letters to GPs).
  • Emma - our Administration Manager is amazing and provides support re client intake forms, waitlist management, contacting clients, all invoicing, processing fees and Medicare rebates, keeping track of Medicare sessions and currency of client referrals
  • Practice Software with admin support (Power Diary including automatic email/text reminders for clients, Zoom for secure telehealth sessions with whiteboard/sharing screen options, G-Suite for shared documents/templates/client resources)
  • Regular monthly supervision is offered (fulfilling yearly peer consultation/supervision hours for Psych Board of Aus requirements) as well as ad hoc immediate telephone support from a senior psychologist where needed
  • $500 annual allowance to help maintain CPD requirements
  • Input into client marketing to ensure that you work with as many clients from your preferred client cohort as possible
  • Additional opportunities re public speaking, patient/health care provider education, creating resources for clients.
