At Sydney Drug Education & Counselling Centre (sdecc), we provide free, evidence-based, trauma-informed support for young people aged 12-25 facing challenges related to alcohol and other drug use. Our team works across the Northern Beaches and North Shore, offering in-person and telehealth services to ensure young people and their families receive the best possible care.

 

We are inviting expressions of interest from professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the community. Whether your expertise lies in leading service delivery, providing direct client support, or contributing in other ways, we want to hear from you.

Who We’re Looking For:

 

We are keen to connect with professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

 

Service Delivery & Leadership: Supporting operational management, ensuring high-quality care, and guiding a team of dedicated professionals.

 

Counselling & Client Support: Conducting assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

 

Other Allied Health & Support Services: Bringing expertise that contributes to holistic, client-centred care.

What You’ll Bring:

 

Depending on your area of expertise, you may have:

• A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.

• Registration with AHPRA, AASW, or another relevant professional body.

• Experience in clinical practice, service management, or direct client counselling.

• Strong understanding of AOD interventions, trauma-informed care, and mental health support.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
