About the Practice
Sage insight psychology is a small, yet thriving practice located in Hawthorn, Melbourne. Our clinic directors, Claire and Karla opened the practice with over 10+ years of experience having worked across public and private services around Melbourne and regional Victoria and have extensive experience in both hospital inpatient and outpatient services. The priority of the clinic has always been the provision of expeptional, evidence-based treatment for clients experiencing issues of a mild-high level of complexity, while also offering their team-members a highly support, flexible and sustainable workplace environment. About the Role
Collaborate in our inclusive team of 4 as our next experienced psychologist. This position is a permanent sub-contracting role that offers immense flexibility and choice regarding the amount/and type of clients you will see. The role requires a high level of independence, but who has also ready access to support via our clinic directors Claire or Karla, your tasks and responsibilities are too:
- Develop and manage a caseload of clients. Referrals will be generated by the clinics current referral base
- Provide psychological therapy/counselling to a mix of private, medicare, TAC or DVA funded clients
- Provide exceptional psychological assessment and therapeutic treatment, for a variety of clinical populations. An interest in working with clients with eating disorders or personality disorders is highly valued, although not required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide competant and timely risk assessment and risk management procedures.
- Have the ability to manage their own time effectively, and maintaining clinical documentation practices at a standard that is required of the psychology profession.

- Invited to free, bi-monthly group supervision that van be attended either in-person or via telehealth
- Low-cost individiual supervision (as required) provided by either Claire or Karla who are both board approved supervisors. They are willing to discuss the option of supervising you as a part of your clinical registrar program.
- Support in developing confidence to use our practice software, and a graded onboarding process for those new to the private practice sector
Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Psychology
- Current AHPRA resigration
- Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance (of the ability to obtain this before commencing clinical work)
- Current working with childrens check and National Police clearance
