Senior Psychologist Pain Management - Grade 3

Permanent Part Time – 16 hours per week (0.42FTE) 

  

About the Role 

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Clinical, Health or Counselling Psychologist to join our experienced Psychology team. The position is located in Horsham, working within the multidisciplinary Persistent Pain Management Program. This role is supported by the Grampians Health Psychology Department located in Ballarat, providing the successful applicant with the opportunity to be part of a group of skilled and experienced public health psychologists. There is the option of being based in Ballarat and travelling to Horsham and there is flexibility with a mix of working onsite or from home.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provision of advanced psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment and intervention for Grampians Health clients in the pain management program 

  • Participate and fulfil requirements of allied health and discipline specific orientation, induction, mentorship, supervision and performance management programs 

  • Provide a leadership role within the department and Allied Health team 

  • Assist the Director of Psychology in the provision of high quality evidence based psychological services 

  • Actively participate in strategic planning, staff meetings, service development and other relevant forums 

  

Skills & Experience 

  • Full registration under the Psychology Board of Australia with endorsement in the area of practice of Clinical, Health or Counselling Psychology 

  • Eligible for application for, or hold, approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the field of clinical psychology at a minimum P2 (or equivalent) level 

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with people at all levels 

  • A commitment to person-centred care 

  • Excellent knowledge of psychological assessment, diagnosis and intervention 

  • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
