About Us
Build long-term expertise in a meaningful and high demand area of psychology
The Gut Centre is a busy and well-established private practice dedicated to gut–brain health, located in Paddington, Brisbane, with additional clinics in Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast.
Our mission is to restore the lives of people living with gut disorders through compassionate, evidence-based care that supports long-term wellbeing. We work with adults, adolescents and children experiencing IBS and complex gastrointestinal conditions.
Our team combines clinical expertise with a warm, personalised approach, offering a collaborative and supportive environment where clinicians can develop their skills and do meaningful work.
The Role

About the Role
• Provide therapy to adults, adolescents and children
• Deliver evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, gut directed hypnotherapy and other gut-focused therapies
Please note:
Experience in hypnotherapy is not required. Training in gut-directed hypnotherapy is provided as part of your introduction to the role.
• Work with a consistent caseload of gut–brain presentations
• Provide sessions in-person (Paddington), some telehealth
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists and referring medical practitioners
You will support patients experiencing:
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
• Functional gut symptoms (bloating, nausea, abdominal pain, reflux, dyspepsia)
• Complex and treatment-resistant gut conditions
• Coeliac disease and IBD (counselling support) and more
