The Team:
The Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) delivers integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder. This includes Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) Programs in the North, Northwest and South. We are looking for clinicians with an interest in eating disorders who are innovators and have a passion for delivering quality care.
The Role:
As part of the TEDS state-wide multidisciplinary team, deliver high quality mental health services in accordance with Mental Health Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies.
The Psychologist – Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) will:
- Provides quality psychological service utilising evidence-based and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
- Provides evidence-based psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to people with an eating disorder and their families or carers.
- Promote community awareness in relation to eating disorders and develop and enhance relationships with other mental health service providers. Act as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.
You will need:
- Demonstrated proficient clinical and professional knowledge in the area directly applicable to treatment of complex mental health disorders with adults and/or knowledge or experience working with eating disorders.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skill in contemporary psychological practice including comprehensive evidence-based psychological assessments, therapeutic interventions and the ability to contribute to the development of individual and group programs.
- High level interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills including demonstrated experience in liaising effectively with other services and agencies in the context of providing specialised psychological mental health assessment, advice and training.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $117,272 to $123,487 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
