Neuropsychology. Long-term recovery. Flexibility to shape the role around your career. $5K–$10K incentives offered
This is a rare opportunity for a Clinical Neuropsychologist or Registrar to work across inpatient psychiatric services in Orange, supporting people with moderate to severe mental illness as they move from acute care through rehabilitation and toward community living.
The role would suit a clinician looking to deepen their public mental health experience, make a career change into psychiatric rehabilitation, or balance public practice with an existing private caseload.
You can work full time or permanent part time, with flexible hours and the option to take all or part of the hours available.
Why this role stands out
This is not a narrow assessment-only role.
You will work across several inpatient psychiatric units, with a strong focus on long-term rehabilitation and recovery. Your specialist input will help shape care planning, cognitive rehabilitation, behaviour support, clinical risk assessment and transition pathways for consumers with complex mental health needs.
The position is funded through the Pathways to Community Living Initiative (PCLI), supporting people with serious and enduring mental illness who have experienced, or are at risk of, long hospital stays to re-establish their lives in the community.
You will be part of the full patient journey — from inpatient assessment and rehabilitation through to community transition.
About the role
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist or Registrar, you will provide evidence-based neuropsychological assessment, formulation, consultation and treatment planning for consumers receiving mental health care across Western NSW.
Your work will include:
-

-
Clinical resources to support assessment
-
Funded professional development opportunities
-
Registrar supervision and pathway support
-

About you
You will have full AHPRA registration and endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology, or the ability to complete a Registrar Program in Clinical Neuropsychology.
You will bring experience, or a strong developing interest, in:
-
Neuropsychological assessment and formulation
