Townsville University
Hospital is seeking a motivated Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar to
join a well-established and supportive specialist service. This is an excellent
opportunity to further develop your clinical expertise while working
toward endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology within a structured and
professionally enriching environment.
About
the Role
In
this position, you will provide comprehensive neuropsychological
services to adults with complex neurological, medical, and psychosocial
presentations within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Key features of
the role include:
- Delivery of high-quality neuropsychological
assessment, formulation and intervention
- Consistent, direct supervision from experienced
Clinical Neuropsychologists
- Structured support focused on competency
development, reflective practice and progression toward
endorsement
- Opportunities to rotate through services including
neurosurgery, neuropsychiatry and child development
- Exposure to a broad range of clinical presentations
across the lifespan
You will
also:
- Contribute to multidisciplinary, patient-centred
care
- Participate in clinical research,
quality improvement and service evaluation activities
- Support the development of the psychology workforce
through teaching and supervision opportunities (as appropriate)
- Collaborate with senior clinicians,
service managers and key stakeholders
- Continue to develop your clinical knowledge through
professional development and self-directed learning
About You
You are an
enthusiastic and developing Clinical Neuropsychologist who is committed to
evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth.
You
will have:
- A four-year degree in Psychology from an accredited
tertiary institution
- Registration with the Psychology Board of
Australia
- A postgraduate qualification in Clinical
Neuropsychology, or be near completion
You
will demonstrate:
- Strong clinical reasoning and developing specialist
skills
- A commitment to ethical and professional
practice
- The ability to work effectively within a
multidisciplinary environment
