About Us
ADF Health Services delivers integrated healthcare
services to Australian Defence Force personnel nationwide.
Under this contract, Serco, in partnership with
Bupa, provides defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base
locations—ensuring ADF members have access to high-quality, on-site healthcare.

About the Role
As a Civilian Psychologist, you’ll be a key member
of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, supporting the complex and diverse
mental health needs of active ADF personnel.
Your Impact Will Include:
- Conducting
comprehensive intakes and psychological assessments
- Delivering tailored,
evidence-based psychological interventions
- Administering
psychometric assessments within scope
- Managing your own
caseload with professional autonomy
- Coordinating and
overseeing externally referred cases
- Participating in crisis
response, risk assessment, and management planning
- Collaborating within a
supportive, multidisciplinary team
This role offers flexibility to practice within
your areas of interest while contributing directly to Defence capability and
operational readiness.
About the Location
Tindal Health Centre is located at
RAAF Base Tindal, 15km outside Katherine, and 320km south-east of Darwin.
The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 550 Defence members,
surging at regular Air Force exercise periods throughout the year. The health
centre provides general medical, aviation medical,
nursing, physiotherapy and mental health services. It
also operates a 10-bed inpatient low dependency day ward. Standard
operating hours are generally 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday depending
on role requirements, half day 7:30 – 13:30 Friday.

About You
You will bring:
- Current, unconditional
AHPRA Registration as a Registered Psychologist
- Minimum 2 years’
post-graduate mental health experience (within past 5 years)
- Experience in psychological
assessment and delivery of Focused Psychological Strategies
- Current CPR certificate
(HLTAID009)
- Knowledge of relevant
legislation and ADF Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy (desirable)
- Australian Citizenship
and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security
