Permanent Part-time position available – 40 hours per fortnight
The purpose of this role is to conduct high-level neuropsychological assessments, and brief interventions beyond routine level of practice responding to consumers and their families/carers who are impacted by acute/severe mental health problems within a multidisciplinary team in the Older Persons Community Mental Health Service (OPCMHS). This role undertakes duties of a complex and varied nature with clinical decisions based on valid and reliable evidence and is recognised as a reference point for other clinicians in the team.
Mandatory Requirements:
• Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
• General registration or eligibility for general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) is mandatory. Eligibility is defined as having proof of submission of your application for general registration.
• Current Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 or working towards obtaining. Training can be provided to meet this requirement within 6 months of appointment.
